Important items to consider when choosing a painting contractor for applying an Elastomeric coating:

 

þ Proper application. For Elastomeric to work it has to be applied at the proper mill thickness, or else it looses its Elastomeric properties. It has to be applied at a rate of 100 sq ft per gallon. This should be applied with a 1-2 gall/min airless sprayer (a smaller sprayer will not pump the product without thinning) and bankrolled.

þ The Elastomeric coating should not be thinned or it will loose its Elastomeric properties.

þ Contractor should have lots of experience working with Elastomeric coatings.

þ The painting contractor should be certified by the paint  manufacturer for applying an Elastomeric coating.

þ Inspection should be done by paint manufacturer to back up warranty

þ The product should be covered by a FIVE YEAR WARRANTY backed by contactor and the manufacturer.
